CPP Exam Study Group

The Detroit Chapter, in conjunction with Schoolcraft College, will again be running its summer CPP Exam study group.  The class is designed as an overall review of payroll for those planning to sit for the autumn CPP or FPC certification exams.  In addition to classroom discussion, two in-class practice exams will help gauge your readiness for the exam.  The class is approved by APA for up to 48 recertification credit hours, and so is also a good way for current CPP’s and FPC’s to accumulate credit hours for recertification.

 

The class will meet at 6:30 to 9:30 Thursday evenings, beginning May 8th and running through August 21st.  Required registration is through Schoolcraft College.  Sign on to the Schoolcraft website at www.schoolcraft.edu, and look for the class in the Summer Continuing Education schedule.

 

Students must also obtain the textbook, The Payroll Source (2008 Edition), which is available from the APA.

The Chapter is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to providing educational, communication, and networking opportunities for payroll professionals.

News Flash — June Chapter Meeting

Preview — July Chapter Meeting

Our July Chapter will meeting feature Larry White, CPP, from the APA presenting “Red Shirt Leadership.”  This will be a luncheon meeting at the beautiful Skyline Club in Southfield.  Further details will be announced soon.

Update — April Chapter Meeting

Again, good food, a fantastic view, and a most interesting and informative presentation combined to produce an excellent Chapter meeting.  Thanks to our speaker, Jon Bohnert, Executive VP of Symmetry Software, for providing an exciting look at the next generation of web technology.  Thanks also to all those who attended for your participation, and for completion of the feedback forms.  Feedback from attendees was very positive, with the meeting receiving an average overall rating of 4.52 on our 5-point scale.   Click here to see a few photos of this meeting and some previous Chapter meetings.  Don’t miss our June and July meetings mentioned above.
